Laptop RAM faulty

Options
Ok so my 14hour internet/mse withdrawl is over! I finally sussed one of my 256mb sticks is faulty and causing the dreaded blue error screen that even safe mode does not work with, I have removed the offending ram stick but now im left with just 256mb of ram running windows XP - so slow !

So I need to get me bum upto pc world asap, today!

The offending RAM stick says it is

256MBDDR -333MHZ-CL2.5
PC2700S-25530

Can anyone tell me if this is suitable replacement

there is also this one that fits my needs as per the faulty stick

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/203186

but am I aswell getting the first as the specs are better for an extra £5
not that im 100% but the extra £5 spend for the improved MHZ bus rate and the fact its DDR2 make for the better performance & price, or am I totally wrong?

Thanks guys ;)
