in Cutting tax
My daughter was in a serious car accident and has been in HDU for the last month. She has a severe traumatic brain injury and may be unlikely to ever be able to deal with her own affairs again.
I would like to know how I can become her representative (or whatever it is called) so that I can deal with HMRC on her behalf. She is almost certainly due a tax refund. I understand that I have to become an appointee for dealing with any benefits she may be entitled to. I have looked on the HMRC website but can only find information about becoming an appointee for someone who has capacity to authorise it. She does not have capacity.
Any ideas?? Thank you.
