Does anyone know if there is such a thing? I used to use google maps to enter postcodes and sort out a route manually (up to 25 postcodes at a time) but need something for my mobile phone if it exists.

Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -
I think the OP already mentioned "Google Maps".... and besides, the app she describes is called "Google Navigate" (and is much like "TomTom". My wife uses it a lot, and loves the way it finishes by showing a street-view snapshot of where you're supposed to be) I recommended the same program to friends recently... and THEN discovered that the person to whom I'd commended it's smartphone was on a PAYG contract with no provision for data. They can download maps, but only using WiFi (the latest version of Maps does allow you to "pre-download" and save maps) A plausible alternative (for them) was "MapDroid". which allows users to pre-download detailed maps of pretty much the whole world (as relevant, and a bit at a time!) using WiFi, and store the data ready for use on the MicroSD card in your phone. Otherwise... I'm slightly puzzled by the OP's question. Are you a delivery driver, who needs to make multiple stops?!
Either way, if using your mobile phone as a TomTom, invest in a car charger for it; elsewise, on a long journey, you'll get half way to your destination, and find that the battery is flat.0 -
Thanks bigron. Basically my tomtom screen broke and I'm reluctant to splash any cash on a new one so am using my mobile with google navigation now. I'm just doing agency work at the mo but occasionally do high multi drops for Dhl etc, so need something to plan multiple routes.
If I do a permanent route over time then I probably wouldnt need a route planner as I'd get used to the postcode areas so hence my question. I downloaded Bestroute onto my phone but wasn't working so deleted, can't find anything at all.
I do have a charger btw and have an unlimited data plan.
Thanks...0 -
Sounds like Mapdroid would work for you too. The maps aren't as pretty as Android Maps, but they're of a similar standard to what you find in a printed A-Z map.0
