e-on "simple tariff"
e-on simple tariff says no penalties on leaflet i recieved (this i assume would be no loss of tesco clubcard points which was case with previous deals)
However when i went to select cheapest tariff -i was given option either of money off -or clubcard points.Problem is direct debit pay and dual fuel are discounted anyway -why should i use my clubcard points for this? -the only thing it should apply to is the newer loyalty bonus. And i was told if i selected money off then i could not use at later time clubcard points 4 x value -so there are penalties.
I also recieved an email about the new 4x points offer and it was incoherent gobbledygook imho
eon have been highly misleading .Last time they did a 2x point off bill and even cocked that up with an idiotically short time limited offer.
Maybe somewhere in detail i have misunderstood this offer

Hi tali,
I'm not sure which exact tariff you are talking about as we don't have one called 'simple tariff' The only tariff that doesn't allow Tesco points now is the Age UK fixed for 1 year. However when i went to select cheapest tariff -i was given option either of money off -or clubcard points.Problem is direct debit pay and dual fuel are discountedanyway -why should i use my clubcard points for this? -the only thing it should apply to is the newer loyalty bonus.
You can either have the Tesco points as points or Customers can choose to convert their total E.ON Rewards into Tesco Clubcard Points , except for on the standard plan as this will just give points for the payments that you make.

Speak to us again and ask us to explain exactly what you will get with the tariff that you have chosen to go on.

Thanks for reply , plan i was referring to was energy discount v1
the annual reward is £76.96 -either money off or tesco clubcard points
My query is do the tesco clubcard points for the reward a) have to earned?
b) or use vouchers from points already held?
c) given free by eon ?0 -
AFAIK Eon's new tariffs, apart from the Age UK one, offer the "reward" as money off your annual bill or be converted into the equivalent Tesco clubcard points instead, which are credited to your Clubcard statement for you to spend as wish.
You can also no longer use your Clubcard points to pay Eon bills any longer
So in your case you could get £77 a year off your bill or get 7000 Tesco Clublard points instead0
