Buy it Now advice

I would like some advice please.
I have seen an item on ebay which I like to buy. The bidding starts at 99p but there is a Buy it Now price of £10. Does this mean that £10 is the reserved price? Can I wait until last second and bid £1? Will I win the item if no one else bids higher?
Ebay help doesn't clarify this.
Thanks

If you bid £1 now, the buy it now will disappear, and if you wait till the end & no-one else bids, you'll win it for 99p0
