Could someone tell where and how I could download (preferably free) the full Helvetica font type for use in Word and Paint?
Many thanks.
Steve.

Might be a stupid question, but have you tried the Microsoft download site?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

I haven't but I figured that if Microsoft had it they'd put it on the software in the first place.

Do a google for 'free fonts'; dafont is one of the best I think, if the font is free... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

You have to buy Helvetica, A font family can be quite pricey.
I use it a lot at work.0 -
Yes, you need to pay for Helvetica. We use it at work.
Arial is a good alternative which is what we use for the on our website. If you are sending word documents to people without Helvetica loaded on their computers all they will see arial (or what they have as their alternative text) anyway.

Yes, Arial is basically a knock-off of the original Linotype Helvetica, with sufficient minor tweaks to prevent Monotype being sued. Arial has all the problems that Helvetica has, like poor inter-letter spacing for some characters ('rn' is hard to distinguish from 'm').
Just Google on Helvetica for several useful hits on the first page...
