This is a bit gross so be warned!
Decided I really should clean the grill pan today as I used it yesterday to roast a chicken and some potatoes and had put off doing it yesterday as I couldn't face the grease and burnt bits.
As I took it out the oven to wash I dropped it on the floor. Tyson decided to investigate and started licking at it. I thought he may as well finish the job he started so left him to it.
I have just gone back 20 minutes later to find a sparkling clean grill pan!!
Obviously it will get a hot wash in the dishwasher too, but he has saved me a whole load of scrubbing
Wondering if I can get him a Saturday job as a pot washer to earn his keep?

Ha ha! Nothing gross about that, and Tyson would agree!
Personally I can't see the harm in this if the item gets a hot wash afterwards. No doubt I'll be shot down in flames though!0 -

Mine doesn't do a bad job of being a draft excluder!Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -
We have to be extra careful with the George Foreman fat tray and keep it out of reach until the fat solifies enough to bin. Something about all that fat is just so irresistable! My two never counter surf except for that.0

We often leave ours overnight to solidify before cleaning in the morning and 9 times out of 10 we find it perfectly clean in one of the dogs beds in the morning. We always forget to put it out of reach.0 -
I just posted on another thread that people get far too hung up about hygiene to the extent they compromise their own immune systems. If you're all healthy and no members of the family are immuno-compromised then I don't see a problem

One of our cats ate an entire bowl of lard that was left of the side cooling before going back in the fridge.

Self cleaning dog?
Mutt had a lovely habit of throwing up her dinner, then eating it up again straight away. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
