Car and motorhome NCD over 2 years old

I have 6 years of NCD on a car. I then sold my car and bought a campervan which I use as my daily transport. When I insured this 18 months ago none of the motorhome insurers would catty over my car NCD on the motorhome policy.

I am going to buy a car again in the future and have the paperwork to show I have 6 years NCD on a car followed by 2 years NCD on a motorhome. Obviously most insurers will ignore my car NCD as it has "expired" after 2 years, despite the fact that I then have 2 years continous motorhome NCD. Does anyone know of any insurers that will allow me to combine the 2 (as I have been driving daily and built up 8 years NCD in a car and then campervan), or will use my expired 24 month old car NCD?

We will need you to provide proof of your no claim discount. This must be the original document from your previous insurer in the UK. It can either be your last renewal notice or a letter from your current or previous insurer confirming your discount entitlement. The expiry date of the last insurance must be no more than three years ago.

I insured my camper with safeguard, who matched my ncd when I was with Swintons.
They may do you a deal now.

Dont think you can add the 6 years and 2 years onto one policy.
It may not be cheaper anyway.

Lots only use a max of 5 years. And having a company that give 10 years may not be any
cheaper than one giving 5 years discount. If you see what i mean?

Policy over 2 years old then CO-OP.

there used to be a couple of companies but now only they are mentioned.
