i might be wrong but i think u have to settle with current supplier before you can switch, switching also relies on acceptance from the proposed new supplier ;)

You can't change to a different provider until the bill is paid, but you can register for click energy 2 (as long as you don't have an E7 meter) to save you some money until that day comes.

Far from me to disagree with a fellow British Gas worker...It depends on your account, somtimes they will let customers go if they have an outstanding balance and somtimes they dont, it depends on several things, which is company specific, and even i dont know all of them lol...usualy if they let you go they will expect full payment on leaving, or they maybe willing to offer you 3 months...hope this helps..
Hey folks...remember I might work for the company but I am a human and working in my own time, I will not responde to people who are rude, sarcy and crits me. My views and comments do not reflect British Gas and they are totally unreasponsable for my responses.

They will only let it go if the debt accumulated under dd but you have always made the payments requested, if the debt is less than 28 days old, or if there is a human/computer screw up which means the objection isn't applied properly/in time ;)
