Phone Delivered in Error

Hi,

Yesterday I was out when a package was delivered to my house. As nobody was in, it was left with a house a couple of doors down. I opened it before looking at the address label and found a brand new Motorola phone inside. It had a persons name I have never heard of on it but had my address on it. There was a delivery note from Orange inside.

I called Orange today and they said they had no record of anything being sent to my address or of the person who's name is on the package.

They said they advised me to take it to the police station and the police would get in touch with Orange and get told the same thing I have been told but they said I am under no obligation to do anything!

What do you think I should do??

Keith

DO NOT give it to any random person who might call at your door asking for the phone!!

This happened to a friend of mine with an iphone. Someone phoned the house pretending to be a courier, saying it had been delivered by accident to his address by the phone company, and they needed to arrange to come and pick it up.

He denied all knowledge on the phone of receiving it, then took it to the police station instead, and in the end, got to keep it!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
