MBNA (Virgin Credit Card) PPI reclaim help please

Hi
I was wondering if someone could provide me with a little advice.
I sent off for a SAR after hearing about the PPI reclaims you hear these days, as I remember having to send a letter to them a year or so ago in order to cancel PPI as I wasnt even sure why I had it on my account. I wasnt in full time employment and didnt want it.
I got all the information from MBNA today and I noticed that on my application form, the tick box for the 'I wish to purchase Payment Protection Cover' is not even ticked, which begs the question, why have I been charged for PPI? I'm about to have a good look through all these papers to see if I can find out why I had PPI.
Anyone have some advice on what to look for in the SAR report which may give me a clue to why and how I got it?
Apologise if my post lacks specific details, I'm just a little confused myself as to where to go from here.
Many thanks.

Hi there
SAR's can differ, but usually you will find transcripts of dates of when finance was taken out, with insurance, and details of the application etc.
But as said it can differ.
When you settled the finance, maybe there are details enclosed of that too, otherwise contact them directly and ask, just say you are aware that you were sold ppi, and if they can just confirm this to you.
You can however with whatever reasons you have still continue to make a reclaim on the ppi, be completing the complaint reclaim questionnaire below, send to the business that sold you the finance, and keep a copy for yourself as well.
Good luck.
