Excess Red Peppers and Bananas!

Afternoon!
I have 10 bananas nearing the end of their life, as well as 5 Red Peppers. It is not very OS as I have not used them since I bought them last week, but they were a bargin in my local greengrocers at a £1 each a batch.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to use them up, obviously not in the same recipe! Am currently following WW, so the healthier the idea the better!
Thanks in advance.

Not sure about a healthy way to use the bananas (cake comes to mind), but how about roasted red pepper soup? There are plenty of recipes if you google and it's nice and warming at this time of year!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Freeze them all! Bananas can be frozen in their skins, but are better unpeeled. You can eat them frozen, dip them in chocolate, or use them in banana cake. Chop up the peppers and freeze them. They can be used from frozen.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

As above, roasted red pepper soup and frozen bananas came to mind. I would chop the bananas first - you can then use them to make ice cream or smoothies or in cake recipes. Don't eat too many bananas in one go to get rid of them as they are high potassium - only really an issue if you have kidney probs. Red peppers could otherwise be grilled with veg/chicken skewers, roasted with other mediterranean style veggies (red onion, parsnip etc), or roasted with tomato and chicken pieces. Tonnes of ideas - do a google search for recipes using ... Good luck and enjoy.0

Thanks so much, I didn't know you could freeze bananas!:o0 -
If you want a treat for the kids, stick a lolly stick in the banana, roll it in hundreds and thousands and then freeze. Then you have an (almost) completely healthy 'lolly pop'0

Whizz the peppers in a blender and freeze in ice cube trays for pepper pasata. Use in spag bol. My kids pick out pepper if they see the skins but disguised is fine.
Freeze bananas in chunks and blend in milk once frozen for an ice cream free milkshake. Yum.0 -
Banana fritters, they are lovely with hunny. Stuffed peppers, stuff with savoury rice add a topping of cheese and breadcrumbs. And you can freeze the above as wellHas anyone seen my last marble:A:A:A:A

I chop up bananas that are past their best put them in a bowl and microwave for 1-2 mins depending on the microwave. Tastes like the banana in a banana fritter but without the unhealthy syrup or batter,
My favourite soup is tomato, red pepper and bean soup. Usually make it with cooking bacon from Lidl for the stock and add in any other veg that is in the fridge like cabbage and carrots.0
