Paypal problem

Hi my problem: As a seller sold two items total 126.00 inc postage in france , buyer paid by paypal, I sent items off received receipt for postage but not tracking number. Buyer has not received items. My account is frozen, gave paypal details with receipt number and addresses contacted my post office they verified with letter saying could take up to a month to look into problem, payapl requested reply within 10 days but it is out of my hands at the moment. 10 days has passed and still no reply from Payapl into descision. Am I not covered as a seller because buyer did not ask for insurance. I know next time to get tracking number for expensive items. Any answers what to do next Thanks

A postal receipt is different to a tracking number.

If you have no tracking number paypal will find in favour of the buyer.

Did the buyer get in touch with you before starting the dispute?
If they did what did you do/say?

As a seller it is your responsibility to ensure that there is online tracking available for an item. In the event of a PayPal dispute i.e this case you will automatically lose because you cannot provide tracking information.

As you have a COP you can claim up to £34.

BY GOING INTO A POST OFFICE AND SHOUTING AT THEM!! :rotfl:

No seriously, ask at your local post office, or look on the Royal Mail website for details of how to file a claim.
