switching cashback - make sure you use the mse link to moneysupermarket

I have just applied to switch to scottish power fixed deal on moneysupermarket but accidentally did it by going straight to their site rather than clicking on the link from the mse website. so don't think I'll be getting my £30 and don't want others to make the same error. : (

  • Cancel it and go through Quidco/topcashback for £42 instead?

Good advice for one current deal. I was doubtful about how an MSE link to Moneysupermarket link to Scottish Power for cashback could work. It worked well and I got £70 paid quickly. Sadly that offer has long gone but MSE links are honest and can also recommend Topcashback as one good site.

I recently switched to SP via Moneysupermarket. I'm pretty sure I went via a link from MSE. That was certainly my intention, to get the cashback. But nothing at Moneysupermarket asked me how I wanted the money paid, or even mentioned the cashback. And there was no mention of it in their email. So I have a feeling I'm not going to get it. And too late now to cancel and start again. :(

Presumably you gave your bank details in the application, which was sent via MS. They therefore have a copy of these and will use them to pay your cashback. I also switched via MS a couple fo months ago, and I don't think their email mentions it, but the cashback has already been paid into my account.

Can I ask how much you were paid? I have just been paid £40 casback but I went via the £70 special link in August.

Me too (to EDF), £30 paid 1 month after last fuel (gas) went live.

Should be 2 payments £40 and then £30. Most people received both at the same time. Not sure how you track the missing £30.
  • I might cancel it and try the topcashback one instead. hope everyone who's not yet got their cashback gets it.

I also switched to Scottish Power recently via MSE with the £70 cash back but have yet to receive anything in my bank account. This was nearly 3 months ago now. There was no mention of it when I applied through the MSE link and I have had no correspondence from Scottish Power about the money either. Is there any chance that I will receive the cash back? Is there anything I can do to find out?
