British Gas Ignored Request

At long last, we are going to change energy suppliers. Both ety and gas with british gas for the past few years.
Rang British Gas one month ago to request copies / summaries of bills / usage for the past year because I don't keep the bills and cannot work out our usage for the past year. Of course, promised they would send them out....still waiting.
I don't want to start with repeated phone calls and getting nowhere. I would like to put my request in writing but does anybody know who to direct the letter to. Seems like a huge faceless organisation - how do I penetrate them??

There will be a Southampton admail address on your bill. Instead of asking for copies of the bills, why not just ask them for your consumption? They will usually pass you to a retention team who will tell you over the phone, but also give you a sweetner to try to persuade you to stay with BG.0

I believe in doing as much as possible in writing. Will try and contact them, they can provide my consumption in writing.

Rang the alternative number, got through immediately. Will send again...can't wait. I least I know I can now harass them for free.0
