You might be able to get a Community Care Grant. Unlike a social fund loan, this doesn't have to be paid back. I don't have a link for this, but I'm sure someone here will have more info. Good luck!0

Hi fkelanne & Anneliese
Here's the link to 'SB16 - A Guide to the Social Fund':
http://www.dwp.gov.uk/advisers/sb16/
Check the sections on Community Care Grants (CCG), Budgeting Loans & Crisis Loans.
If you have lost your previous home because of repossession, eviction and/or relationship breakdown you may qualify for a CCG. Experienced help from a free advice agency will increase your chances of success.
Incidentally, Housing Benefit (HB) and/or Council Tax Benefit (CTB) is not normally payable if you live with a close relative (e.g. parents) in their home. If they are receiving any HB/CTB it will usually be reduced by a 'Non-dependant Deduction'. It is advisable to check what effect, if any, your moving in might have on their benefits.
Best wishes

You need to be Income Support to get a CCG or Budget loan.
Other than that, it's a crisis loan.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.
