Evidently need to see the whole outfit.... how they'd look with a micro skirt is evidently different to how they'd look with an ankle length skirt or under full length trousers.

In most cases knee high boots are more casual than court shoes, you may want to go for a more casual than formal look or you can balance it out a little by going overly formal in other areas.

Personally, if it was an admin assistant, junior role etc then I'd have no issues with them.... if it was for a much more senior role I would be a little surprised if someone turned up in FMBs (as they always used to be called in my student days) though it wouldnt be an immediate no (obviously)

I have never heard of knee high boots being referred to as FMBs :undecided Thigh high maybe - but never knee high.

There are many pairs of knee high boots that are office smart casual but it does depend on the rest of the outfit. If in doubt however wear smart shoes and carry flats to walk around in later.

More like probably not unless you're an attractive young female. Any obese or remotely obese middle aged female wearing those... ewww.

How old is middle aged? What if the person was obese and young? Ok then?

I reckon I look the dog's doodahs in my skirt and knee high boots. I'm no spring chicken either.

Any female who's not physically attractive according to general consensus is labelled obese or old. Boots is a product that screams sex sells. Give it to the old, the ugly, or a man, and you have what we call run and scream in fear epidemic. Best to stick with proper shoes if you don't want men treating you as some office decoration... and it'll go negatively if you're not attractive and young.

Most customers in a bar tend to be single men. An attractive barmaid dressed like a ahem is ah... good for business, providing everything is kept under control. Nobody ever admits this but it's true.
