Cats and raw food

My boys are just under 5kg each and they have approx 100-130g a day which is split into two portions, morning and evening.
They havent been keen on the rabbit or venison which is weird as the eldest LOVED the rabbit cubes with bone in from a different supplier who no longer exist. I think maybe is because its such a strong smelling meats and they were very paste like and the boys like the bones :T
Weigh your cat and work out how much they should have a day ... trust me they will get larger on a RAW diet if oyu keep feeding the same amount as commercial cat foodAnt. :cool:0 -
Those who raw feed, how much does your cat eat at a time? I have a 4 month old kitten and would be happy to give him raw food but I don't want raw meat sitting about for ages, and being wasted. At the moment my kitten never eats more than about 1/3 of a pouch of natures menu (the cooked kitten food) in one sitting. He has dry food out all the time, then I'll give him the wet food over 2 or 3 meals.
You could feed all raw or only small measured portions of dry instead of free feeding. Raw seems to keep them feeling fuller for longer anyway. If you buy frozen blocks you can partially defrost just enough so the block is not rock hard and split using a hot knife to help. You wouldn't do that for a human but a cat has a much more acidic stomach and shorter gut than we do so they can cope with a little bacteria far better than we can. Or is you are feeding bone in meat you can buy refrigerated then cut up with poultry shears before freezing on a baking sheet.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

It is available on line from here: http://www.naturalinstinct.com/categories/Cat-Food/
But there is minimum order amount, which is what I said earlier and why you should be reasonably sure your cat will like it before placing your order0 -

That's a different brand to the one I use.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

That would explain why you've not seen it online then0 -

Well yes, and paddypaws101 was asking me where I bought mine as it's not, as yet, available online. But you said it was available online“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
