in Credit cards
I met my Husband about 6 years ago. When we were got together, he had three credit cards:
Marbles, limit 1,000
Capital 1 limit £200 and
Barclaycard limit £1,000
These three cards were already maxed out to the limit. Believe it or not, 6 years later we are still paying these cards. This is because of many many missed payments theref late payment charges, overlimit charges, and only ever making the minimum payment, which more often than not didn't even cover the interest.
The balances are now: marbles £1012, Capital 1 £400 and Barclaycard £1600.
Sadly, balance transfer to 0% interest is not an option (we have CCJ's and a very poor credit rating so no-one will touch us) and the balances are not reducing at all!!
I know that people can now reclaim charges.... but it's likely that all the money we owe on all the cards consists of just charges accrued over the 6 years???????? What should I do??

You can still reclaim the charges. Even more reason to! Try the charges reclaim board or Consumer Action Group for help.0

as already said you can reclaim the charges
however, it would be beneficial to look at why you have not paid these CC off over 6 years.
i would suggest you go over to the debt free wannabe board and post up an SOA , details of income, spending and debts to see better how to clear these debts once and for all.0
