    I recently bought a Gucci watch for the missus from aaronswatches.com - a discount retailer in New York - it arrived 2 DAYS :D via TNT Express after I ordered it. Because of strength of the £ - $ - saved about £150. P.S. Don't forget your Import duties on top of final price :-)

    Just wear the watch and sent the box and reciept back to your self via recorded post ;)

    Surely if someone can afford to throw away £1800 on a watch, they shouldn't be deceptively ( and illegally ) avoiding paying customs duty.

    I dont think anyone is promoting avoiding paying C&E, theres been two biritsh websites that require no duty to be paid and the one US site the poster has stated import duty is required to be paid.

    I paid roughly 80 U.K. pounds. Can't remember how it was broken down but there was a handling charge by the courier, UK VAT @ 17.5 % and import duty. BTW - Total price for watch was 550 US Dollars....

    Have been to Goldsmiths. They are going to order a few models in of my choice as this branch don't stock Cartier.
    I asked for discount first, they said yes this is possible, but wouldn't say how much until they knew I was serious. They are going to contact me tomorrow with details.
    I will bear in mind the Blitz prices when negotiating a discount.

    Why the hell would someone want to spend £1800 on a watch,Is it just to brag,keep up with the Jones'es and if your worried that you might pay a littlte bit more why come on this site.it is after all about MONEY SAVING. a watch is a watch it tells the time,Gucci,Cartier,Patek Phillipe,Rolex,all great names but at the end of the day they tell the time as well as a £3.99 watch from Woolies and you dont risk getting it nicked

    I thought that the post above implied this, it reads;

    " Just wear the watch and sent the box and reciept back to your self via recorded post ".

    :rolleyes:
