Setting ebay to automatically open NPB after 4 days?

Is this a bad idea for a private seller? Will it cause me more problems in the long run?
Sick of people buying stuff (usually bidding in the last couple of seconds and outbidding someone else who probably would have paid straight away  ) and then not paying, and worse still, not messaging me to let me know when they will pay or even if they're ever going to pay. I wouldn't mind waiting if I knew when they were planning on paying for their item, so I didn't have to make a special trip to the post office just for them. I would try and combine it in with other stuff I need to do. Just really annoys me, that people pay when they feel like it then just expect you to drop everything to go and post it.
I know I can just open a NPB case myself if they haven't paid after 4 days, but I wanted to put it in my listings that my ebay is set to automatically open a case after 4 days for non paying bidders to hopefully prompt them to pay soon after. If I did this, and someone wanted to pay say after 5 days, would I just be able to close the case and that's it? I've never opened one before, because usually they have paid eventually, but it seems to be happening more and more now, and it's bugging me. Shall I just leave it as it is, and maybe put in my listings that I will open a NPD after 4 days if no contact or payment is received?

Put it in the listings and attract unwanted attention?
I thought buyers had 4 - 7 days to pay anyway? So additions like that to the
listing may attract people who think your terms are silly and want to annoy you?
If they dont pay then do put in a strike to prevent them from doing it to someone else.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I don't really mind if they take a week to pay as long as they let me know they can't pay for a week. It does annoy me though when people buy stuff they can't afford to pay for straight away, especially as none of my items really sell for much in the first place. I would never buy something off Ebay unless I could pay for it straight away, and if I couldn't, I would at least let the seller know when I could pay, although this would never happen as I just wouldn't buy it in the first place.
I was just thinking if I automatically set it to open after 4 days, then I feel like I can tell the buyer "Sorry but my settings are set to open the case after 4 days" rather than "I opened a case because you're an ignorant a*sehole who ignored all my invoices or any contact.
I don't have to put it in the listing, but I have seen other people put it in their listings.
ETA I wouldn't say it was "silly" to expect people to pay for their item that they bid on, or at least contact the seller if they're not going to be paying straight away or within 24 hours. The terms I think are silly is when people say they're not responsible for items getting lost in the mail
I see that in almost every listing I read. 0
