Present for a 3 year old girl

What sort of things would you buy? Is duplo ok or is it seen as a bit young?
Would you stick to books?
Thanks

I suppose it depends on the child, but my 3 yr old DD loves her mega blocks and stickle bricks, they are firm favs x
  • Not sure if this will help but my 3yr old niece loves to dress up. My DD's have purchased some fairy wings from the local 99p store and a fairy wand. She will be over the moon and its a great gift thats cost effective whilst stimulating her imagination.

My daughter is a huge fan of her duplo - she has loads of it and to be honest... I still like playing with it too! LOL and it's near indestructable!

Dress up is good too, but try and work out if she's into something particular - peppa pig, dora... there are so many! Currently my 3 1/2 year old is into Scooby Doo!!! Yikes!

  • If I remember rightly from my own daughter, anything pink and plastic usually goes down well!

On a serious note three is an age where dressing up and role play are favourite activities, or craft stuff.
  • Last year a Hello Kitty play kitchen was my daughters fave (maybe as it was from my sister who is her hero!) but she loves her toy cars too and puzzles :) She's nearly 4 now so more crafty things this year!

  • My daughter is 4 in a week but for her third birthday and Christmas last year we bought her a leap pad and other electronic stuff, none of which she has played with more than about three times! This year i've gone for a wooden dolls house and some craft sets we can do together.

I think the simpler the better, and anything you can do together. The duplo is still very popular with her now as is a dolly and a pram!

my daughter is 3 she loves playdoh with some cutters and a rolling pin, and her dolls buggy it can be hard not always knowing what they already have. I bought my daughter a couple of packet mix, bread, scones and a cheese cake for her birthday she loved them you could add an appron, a mixing bowl and a wooden spoon thats if her mum or dad will do that sort of thing with her.
