Council Housing Waiting List

you are 22 and want to buy a house? why? i was 38 and my oh 35 when we bought our first house. prior to that we did what people do, paid rent. go on the local authority list by all means, but you aren't going to be a priority and you will have to actively bid on properties, you can't just join the list and wait for an offer. and you will be eligible for a one bed flat, which may have an affordable rent attached to it, rather than a social rent.0

Dear Couple in Love - whilst I sympathise with your situation, and do not think that adding your names to the Council Housing list will help at all, I also have sympathy for your poor mum ....do you not think that she too could be part of a Couple in Love?
Your parents have split up - which means the end of your childhood - but surely you do not begrudge your mother a second chance at a good relationship?0 -

Thanks.
Think of it as a long term project.
I was on a waiting list for over 5 years for a 'house'. Got offered a 'flat' eventually above a drug dealer, and then yet another flat after I had already put a deposit down on a house.0 -
You want your mother not to live with the man she loves and have rampant sex whenever and wherever she wants, so you can avoid living in inferior rental accommodation with the man you love??
Definition of selfish: grow up and understand your mother is a three dimensional human being with her own emotions and fewer years left on this planet to be happy. You have had six years out of school to get married, save up, vote for who runs our country and learn the world does not revolve around you. That little wake up call happened for me about your age too. :TDeclutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
