NCD nightmare

I'm having a problem proving my 9 years no claims - When my Direct Line insurance expired I changed to Sheila's Wheels but then I realised it wasn't suitable so I cancelled and moved to Axa. Axa require written proof of my ncd so I asked for this back from Sheila's wheels. I've spoken to them four times over the past 3 weeks and each time they assure me they have posted it and are posting it again but it never shows up. My previous insurer Direct Line also assured me they'd posted it out to me again but its not shown up. Sheila's wheels also assured me they would fax it and haven't. I've double checked with them that they have the right address on file and of course, they do.

In the meantime Axa have extended my deadline but it runs out tomorrow. They are saying they won't accept verbal advice of my no claims history from another insurance company (even though Sheila's Wheels and Direct Line insist they give verbal advice to other insurers all the time). They are also saying if I don't meet the deadline my insurance will be invalidated and my premium will go up and my no claims will be reduced to zero. help!

Do you have a copy of your letter from Direct Line when they wrote to you with a renewal proposal before the policy expired?

Unfortunately not, because I had to send it to Sheila's wheels when I signed up with them. I was in a rush and stupidly forgot to photocopy it.
