Advice needed please regarding overdraft

Hi.
I have an issue regarding the removal of an overdraft facility on a current account, and would be very grateful for any advice.
I have had an overdraft limit on one of my accounts, which I have held for a number of years. The account used to my main account, but is now a secondary account. I have received a couple of letters in recent months advising that I should make a payment into the account to avoid the overdraft facility being removed. This I did (on the 18th September) with a small transfer. I opted for a small transfer to avoid the overdraft being withdrawn, until I had the required time for my salary to be transferred to this account (1st salary would be paid in on the 29th October).
However, the overdraft has still been removed, in spite of this transfer going into the account. I explained the situation to the provider (salary transfer, loyal customer, account still active etc.), but basically told that the amount transferred should have been higher (this was not stated on their letters sent out).
Could anyone please advise on this matter? I understand the need for an account to be active, which I have addressed by the small intermediate payment, and the arrangement of my salary to be paid into the account. I have also complied with the letters they have sent out.
Apologies for the long post, and bigger apologies if this is in the wrong forum, but I would really appreciate the input from anyone with more experience or insight into this than I have.
Thanks
Richard

It's fairly standard that banks often withdraw OD facilities if the a/c is not used regularly
many people overcome this by transfering money in very month (say 500 - 1000) and then withdrawing it a few days later
obviously they don't have to give you an OD so all you can really do it ask nicely
in any case, if you weren't using it why does it matter?0 -
Which w-ank is this? I mean sorry Bank0

They've seen that the account is more of a secondary account and said bollo*ks IMO.Shouldn't leave a big overdraft on a secondary account especially if your wages were not going in as the banks sniffer dogs would of smelt the scent.0
