Fairly self explanatory any experience with sales to Chile?
I normally have South America blocked, although have posted on request to Argentina before without issue.
The item the Chile person wants to bid on as a relatively rare book where i think the final bid will probably be in the £50-£100 range

I post to Chile, but it's usually under 2kg and £46. In you use Royal Mail then your certificate of posting will be your 'insurance' for loss to that value. If its heavier it may be worth getting a courier quote. I use transglobalexpress but haven't sent courier to Chile. However TGX are superb and very reliable if not the cheapest.
Your other option if under 2kg is International Signd For. It probably won't track outside of the UK but will give insurance for a small premium.
If you are adequately insured (self or otherwise) you need not worry if you will 'lose a dispute' a fact some find hard to get their heads around!
Chile is about a 16 day timescale for me at the moment but wil be longer as the Xmas post increases.0 -
Hello, I have posted to every country in South America with the exception of Columbia, Suriname and French Guiana. No problems at all, although customs clearance in Brazil can be very slow.0

Last year I posted a whiskey miniature to Ecuador. The lady in the post office checked and advised they had restrictions on the importing of alcohol, but I clearly described the contents on the customs label and it arrived with no problems.0
