I want to lift some audio from a HOME dvd (not a commercial one) of my family so it can be burned to cd for another relative to listen to.
can anyone tell me how this can be done?
are there are any decent freeware progs etc that'll do this for me?
thanks in advance

If you google for "DVD Audio Ripper" you're sure to turn up a few - most allow you to extract all the audio from the DVD at once or by chapter, track etc. There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0 -
DVD2AVI is pretty good
£2 savers club = £83.500 -
DVD2AVI has evolved into DGMPGDec and DGIndex. CDs tend to play PCM format and I have no idea what a demultiplexing utility will produce for an Home made DVD audio track. The utility BeSweet is a front end for many audio transcoding utilities.
