PPI from Northern Rock

Hi,
After reading these forms it seems you all advise to go about reclaiming on your own (unless anyone can suggest a really friendly none rip-off company).

As you can probably tell from the thread title, my only 2 loans have been with Northern Rock. Therefore steps such as writing to your provider are impossible due to it no longer existing.

Even on top of that I'm not sure if I even had PPI, I previously thought of myself as cutting all corners and if it was offered I more than likely said no. But after witnessing some of the success of my friends and family I'm tempted to try anyway.

What should I do? Is there even any point?

Thanks for the help.

Paul
