Car Insurance- Stolen Car. MOT expired, Previous claim forgotten!! HELP

My dad did buy it direct with them, on the phone. I will ask him to request a copy of the conversation.
I agree, I think the scrutiny is due to the theft occuring 3 weeks after the policy was taken out, although he has lived in the same house for 30 years and never had a car stolen from their!!

He does not, and no other driver on the policy, have any other claims or convictions.0 -
A car not having an MOT flags up a claim on the basis that a lot of peoples cars get "stolen" as they can't afford the work to get it through the MOT.
Insurers tend to be suspicious of all theft claims.0 -
