90 days after inception

Hi
I need to hire a solicitor on employment matter. I bought a home insurance through Santander with Family Legal Protection Policy. I tried phoning them and was transferred in circles without resolution. Can anybody tell me what the clause on the policy means:
Cover
Professional Costs & Expenses incurred in:-
Your contract or employment where the Insured Event arises more than 90 days after inception of the first period of continuous insurance.
I took out my insurance at the end of September. Does this mean I cannot use this 'protection' unless the event arises after December?
Thank you for your help.

Yes. Add 90 days to the inception date of the policy and that's the point you start to be covered for this issue.
If there was no "waiting" period, you'd take out cover only when you wanted to make a claim.I am a mortgage broker. There is a continuous cover clause, certainly with some insurers your waiting period is waived if you have held unbroken cover even if the prior cover was with another provider.0
