looking for some room heaters, have to be plug in electric. I remember when my kids were young some 15 years ago we bought some heaters that where slim line like radiators on the wall, infact i mounted them on the wall when we lived in our first home that didnt have central heating. I think they were around 100w and i remember on the box it said 5p per hour to run.
I just cant remember what they were called, anyway, im looking for something for my son to use that is cheap to run possibly 100w (i think 1000 is around 7p per hour)

All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

I have one of these which is very good. It's light to move around and gets the room nice and warm. I'm not sure how much it is too run, but I don't feel it's that expensive.

100 watt heater? You are thinking of a lightbulb.
2Kw Convector that's cheap to buy would be something like this:-

Use one in the conservatory.
Got one of these with a timer as a back up if the central heating goes on the bink mid winter.http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dimplex-Convector-Heater-Timer-kW/dp/B0000W5E9A/ref=sr_1_14?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1351006158&sr=1-14
Bear in mind that no electric heater is cheap to run, and all electric heaters are 100% efficient.
Typical full rate electric rates would be 15p /Kwh.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
A 100W heater will not be enough to heat a room. You will need at least 1000W to heat a small bedroom. A 3000W heater would be much better at heating the room up quickly and letting the thermostat manage the heat so the heater consumes about 1000W per hour.
With electric rates as they are now the lowest standard rate is about 12.5p/kWh:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
