Hi
Basically i would like a definitive answer to this question as i cant seem to find one on here, or anywhere to be honest.
I have a Flybe card £1000 on it, the balance transfer offer ends soon, hideous interest rate.
I dont have the best credit rating, definatley would not be accepted for mainstream cards.
Basically i need another BT card, i think i could pay the debt in a year so 12months would be ideal
What i am asking is, can i apply for the creation 12 months interest free puchases card? And in effect PUCHASE the debt from the other credit card and put it on the new one? So getting myself 12 months interest free?
Now i have read on here that you CANT pay a credit card with a credit card but i have paid a store card, credit account and smaller natwest credit card in the past with this creation card? So it must be possible
But would it be classed as a purchase?
Help would be much appreciated
Thanks x x

It would be rejected as you rightly point out 'not a (qualifying) purchase'. This is because to want to do a BT for a card that is to be used for a purchase (this allows the card co a commission on the sale - something absent from a BT transaction.
Unless the new card explicitly states a BT is possible, the answer invariably will be no!0 -
Aren't both cards issued by the same company? So your idea wouldn't have worked anyway.0

Could almost have worked potentially as they do let you make a payment from a credit card, but they won't allow it to be from one of their cards, so out of luck by the looks of it.
This from their payment page when you click the 'cards we support' link.
We accept all major UK debit and credit cards including :
VISA, MasterCard, Switch / Maestro, Solo.
Please make sure that you select the correct card type i.e
(Visa/Delta, Switch / Maestro, Solo etc.)
We do not accept :
American Express or Diners Club International or payments from other Creation or Sygma Bank UK cards.

One alternative might be to get the new card, put all spending on it and then pay the equivalent cash onto your current card. Depends on what you spend and how quickly but might help in paying down part of what might be an expensive debt.0

Your credit rating can't be that bad if you have got a FlyBe card, assuming you have been reasonably responsible in the meantime.
The Bank of Scotland all in one offers 0% on purchases and balance transfers for 12 months, and I managed to get one after using a Vanquis card for only 8 months (previously having no credit at all) so I reckon they are an "easier" lender than others. You could try them.Oh, you wee bazza!0
