JSA Question

Hi all!
My new partner has booked a little suprise break as part of my birthday (a break to his house so not much of a break but a break for me). He's booked the coach for me but it's my sign on day. Now originally i thought I had an interview that day, but the position got withdrawn. The JC had said I could sign on the monday with proof of interview but now obviously no interview so no proof.
Could I jut get a holiday form?

You are not aloud holidays when claiming JSA since you need to be available and looking for work all the time. Can you not sign on and then go? can't think of any other way unless you say your ill but depends how long your break is for?0

No I can not sign on as the coach is 9:30am and I ahve to get to the coach station in another town for then. I am actively looking for work. The break is only from friday till sunday. i am going back Sunday night. Sort of a long weekend.0

If you are going away on Friday, returning on Sunday, why can you not sign on on Monday?0

Yes a holiday form will be fine as long as you notify the Jcp in advance you are allowed 2 holidays of upto 14 days in a 12mtg rolling period so as long as you haven't taken any holiday it will be fine. Your money will be late though.
Hope this helps and I work at the jobcentre0 -
Thanks a lot. I will pop in to talk to them and fill in the form
I've had no holidays as have only been signing on for two weeks. I can live with money being late 0
