Housing Benefit - Scottish

I claim housing benefit due to working part time, and qualify. Living in Scotland and the rules on LHA have changed recently - single applicants under 35 have to accept the shared room rate rather than the rate for a one bed rent.

I also claim DLA - middle rate care and on the councils website it stateds under exemptions:

"gets the severe disability premium in their benefit because they are entitled to themiddle or higher rate care component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)"

I've been dropped to the shared room rate anyway so going to question this as unsure if its correct. (dont currently have all my letters to hand but will be checking through them)

Does anyone know if you get the severe disability premium automatically for housing benefit if claiming DLA at middle/high rate?

Thanks for anyone being able to shed any light on this!
