Electric Shower Issue

Hi there,
I'm useless at DIY and wondered if someone could help of at least make some suggestions...
I have a problem with the electric shower.
It works for a couple of minutes but then the water stops yet the system is clearly still running as the lights etc stay on. I think it is probably something to do with the where the water is kept for the shower - it not filtering through quickly enough or something similar.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Make and model would help, in the absence of a crystal ball.
Since you have power to it, it's probably as espresso advises. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Sorry for lack of info - not very good with this kind of thing. It is an Aqua-Tronic V9500s slimline.
The showerhead and hose are fairly new so unlikely it would be that?
It just stops dead rather than splutters etc yet the led lights on the system are still on so surely it isn't shutting down?0 -
Check the inlet filter for carp.

its going into protect as suggested. Almost certainly lack of water/too low pressure so shower is preventing its elements from burnout. Something is obstructing the flow somewhere.0
