How to word feedback and whether to give neutral or neg?

Hi all

Bit of a funny one.

Won an item for just over £10 plus £4 P&P by second class recorded.

Paid for a few items in one go so didn't spot it until leaving feedback, but the seller had amended P&P to £6 after auction end - presumably not happy with the final bid price and wanted more money. Have double checked the auction page and it definitely said £4. Item was sent 2nd class recorded as stated in the listing.

I have contacted seller (Saturday afternoon) and asked them if it was an error (played dumb) and asked them to correct the error. I have had no reply.

I am happy with the item and they put a nice little card in thanking me for my purchase but I am just REALLY annoyed at what they have done! How should I word feedback? I want to give them a neg plus 1* for P&P and communication but wondered if that is too harsh!

I should have noticed when paying but I was paying for £100+ worth of items in one go so didn't spot it.

I'm not well up to speed on eBay feedback etiquette, but could you give them just a couple of stars and explain exactly what happened in the comments section? Then if you hear from them with an apology, amend your feedback.
  • Why buy an item with recorded delivery to begin with as you paid a pound more for postage for something you dont need.

As for the seller putting the price up, I hate that. It is sneaky and greedy and I would definitely mark them down for it.

A comment such as "Warning! seller upped the P&P at checkout. Sneaky!" would do the trick.

If they don't reply today, message them again, asking if they'd got your prior message, and copy the text into the new one.

If they don't reply within a couple of days, and you've received the item, give them a neutral and 1 star for comms & postage.

If they do reply, and you're happy with the response, a positive and 3 stars for trying to put one over you.
Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
    Should OF, would OF
. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.

How did the seller amend the postage AFTER auction? Or did you only pay after they'd sent you a (revised) invoice?

I'd email them again, ask why they increased it, and ask for a £2 refund as you didn't feel this was fair. If they're not forthcoming, then I'd probably go for a neg saying "wasn't impressed that seller increased postage after auction ended".
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
