Hi,
I had full no claims discount applied to my car insurance with Direct Line insurance company , through my employment i was then put on a family members policy as a named drive, as a consequence during the several years that elapsed my no claims bonus entitlement was cancelled.
Is anybody aware of any insurance companies that may honour a no claims bonus under such circumstances, considering i was still driving at the time i was named on a policy and had no claims or convictions.

How old is the NCD?

Most will consider it up to 2 years old, some have said the co-op will consider up to 3 years old.

If you have been on a company car policy some will give you a NCD equiv to your years of claim free company car driving.

Short of all that, many insurers do give an introductory discounts to those with a clean history but no NCD. These are applied automatically so just shop around looking at prices
