PC World Laptop cover/insurance

Options
Hi All

A few months ago I brought a laptop from PC World and was sold their insurance, he gave the good sell on it and a months free. What I need to know now is it worth it. Am I covered for everything like it says, What if I need a new charger common problem on my last laptop, am I covered for that? Paying £10 a month which I dont mind if everything really is covered. I just imgaine when something does go wrong them saying, sorry your not coverd for that. Anyone else paying it and used it?

Well known fact that their insurance is over priced !, you can do much better elsewhere.

£10 per month = £120 per year that is a lot for insuring a laptop.

You need to check your policy as to what it covers, and what is not.

Personally I would cancel and find an alternative.

It's a ridiculous amount to pay. Why are you only asking about it now?

As an example, if you buy a laptop from Toshiba, their(Toshiba) 2 year International policy is £38.40 in total. That is £1.60 per month.
Their 3 year service, including Data Recovery is £82.80. That is £2.30 per month.

All Risks Insurance(accidental damage included), just £50 for a year. £4.17 per month.

Even their most expensive Next Day repair service is £231.60 for 3 years. £6.44 per month.

This is direct from the manufacturer/distributor.

You already have a manufacturer's warranty for one, maybe two years. So you are just paying twice. It won't cover items like the battery anyway.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
