try again;-)
Yes you can freeze cooked meat, but they do stick together once frozen so only freeze as many slices together as you will want to defrost at a time. I freeze ham then cut it up with scissors still frozen into pasta meals:) also use it for sandwiches etc.
Butter freezes too and obviously bread products, blueberries freeze and defrost well:) and taste fantastic still frozen0 -
fab , i was going to buy some reduced ham last night but was not sure if i can freeze it x x0

I have put things in the freezer when it says 'Do not freeze' and only noticed when I have taken out the item out of the freezer to use. I haven't become ill because of this.0

My husband likes those mini pork pies but often, they go out of date before he can eat them. We've discovered if you freeze them, they're perfectly fine!
I've also heard you can freeze fresh eggs if you beat them first. I havent tried it myself though, but sounds perfectly fine for scrambled eggs / omlettes / cakes ...I wish I was a glow worm, a glow worm's never glum
Cos how can you be gloomy, when the sun shines out your bum?0 -

I guess the issue with freezing some things that say they are not suitable for freezing is more to do with how the food tastes once defrosted and whether freezing it spoils the taste/texture rather than if it will make you ill - although for products that have already been frozen and defrosted (like some fish/meat) you would have to be careful.
With veg you can part cook it, rinse with cold water and freeze it once cold - I did this with the green beans from our garden.0 -
i freeze bread sometimes too
generally everything works- i think0 -
There is very little I don't freeze. We live out of our freezer as I buy lots of stuff at deal prices or reduced and it gets frozen till we want it. I buy whole salmon's turn them into fillets and that saves a fortune. I buy meat in bulk and freeze that after portioning up.
I wish my freezer wasn't full as I could have had loads of stuff reduced at mr T last night!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
