Ditch Dell's McAfee trial and get other security software?

I've got avast and zonealarm on my laptop at the moment, I'm not sure whether I should uninstall the mcafee that's come with my dell, free for 30 days. It seems like quite a chunky program with good features.
But that's why I'm here in case you think it's best to just ditch that and go for the free security software? I did mention this in my earlier thread but that was abotu file sharing so unsurprisingly didn't get a response on it
