Do multiple low DSR ratings from single buyer count?

Just found out that my ebay account has received a load of low P&P ratings at the last asessment, none for a year and then enough to bring the account below standard in one go. I know that one buyer making a number of purchases together cannot give neg feedback on them all, is it the same for DSR?

I think it's unlikely so many buyers would suddenly give poor ratings and there is one buyer who bought a few items and I gave a postage discount. He gave +ve feedback but so has everybody else.

Thats stopped any free listings for a few months, I hate ebay sometimes!

If a loads of low's [across the board] have been left with Positive feedback, its classed as 'Feedback abuse' & if you phone eBay, they will remove them.

Out of interest, how much do you charge for P&P - just the stamp cost, or do you add a bit more for various costs?
It might just be that now with Royal Mail hiking the prices that the costs are now higher to buyers, so they're being more picky with stars.

A buyer can leave positive feedback and also include a low DSR.

The seller said the lows were on P&P so were not across the board.

As for the op question, it depends on how many other lows you have as to whether or not multiples are counted as more than one.
  • Over the last 12 months, mo negs or neutrals, 1 low for item as described and 2 for P&P, then 6 this month for P&P on 32 sales which pushes the performance to 2.99%.

I charged the same postage as I did before, one buyer bought 6 lots and I gave an extra postage discount but I guess they expected more. It all seems a bit harsh for all the work I have put in. :(

You need to switch to free p&p now - or risk losing your account.

Its the only way to gaurantee no-one else can damage it further.

If ebay don't see improvement - they may suspend you.
  • I would be suprised if the same buyer could leave you 6 low stars on packaging because "DSR from the same buyer are counted in the same way as Feedback. Only one every week is included in the seller's score"

There is a rather laborious way of finding out who left you the low feedback, I have worked it out a couple of times before contacting Ebay.

I used to sell everything Freepost and maintained 5/5 on my dashboard - in April I changed things round a bit due to the rise in stamps and I now charge for postage at cost price, nothing on top for packaging - and my score has gone down to 4.94/5 for P&P

Some people will never be pleased!

Not the case I'm afraid. I have spoken to customer services and they say buyers of multiple lots can give a DSR for every item they buy, so it looks like my account has been wiped out by one disgruntled buyer unhappy about a few pence too much for postage. That's the thanks you get for putting all the effort in, I feel I could easily give up on ebay.

On Amazon I have 6 ratings, 5 5s and one 4, it's not keeping me awake at night. Some people don't leave 5s for every transaction, some people leave 4s and reserve 5s for those above and beyond the call of duty (I reckon it is about 1 in 10 or so; that is why the average is quoted at 4.9 rather than 5.0). I've never worried about anything until things get below 4.8 (on Amazon I guess I will start panicking if I get less than, say, 4.6), or I get a low (not happened but haven't had visible DSRs for a long time as I don't sell much on eBay any more).

No Ebay user can have their account wiped out by one user alone. There must have been other low scores too.

The information you have been given from CS is wrong, but thats no surprise.

Just had message off Ebay saying they have BLOCKED a low DSR for postage and packing - as it was not in line with my normal feedback :D

Cool - gonna double my postage charges quick :rotfl:
