  • AS we are in a new financial year Tax awards can change. I remember some correspondance in Feb when I confirmed my final salary from last tax year saying that payment up to 5th of April would be ....... and payments after that dats would be ....... In my case I am lucky as they went up slightly.

Mine was £140 short, but the description only says child tax credits on my bank statement, so it looks like its the working tax credit that is missing. I rang them yesterday to find out whats going on, but apparently the systems are shut down for year end. They said if I am lucky they will be up and running by Thursday or Friday, but not to expect anything before next week! Didn't really want to know, and didn't care that it might make me go overdrawn.
  • I get mine weekly and got both CTC and WTC last friday (actually Thursday as Bank Holiday) and the new increased amount arrived no problem.
  • Do they have your correct income for the year just ended?
Has there been a change in your household income between 05/06 and 06/07?
Is there an overpayment lurking that they're scraping money off? (perhaps one you didn't know of.)

The lines will be busy tomorrow, so be prepared. :)
