I'm registered with retail eyes and grassroots. Have done one job for retail eyes and had so many problems with the online form and the site crashing, I decided that the £7 they paid is just not sufficient payment for all the work it takes, so I'm not doing anymore. I completed my trip on a Saturday, submitted the form the same day (took over an hour), was contacted by email a week later saying that they wanted to check a few things so I had to ring a national number, was on the phone 20 minutes. Turned out there was nothing wrong with my form........they were just delaying things. It took nearly 50 days for me to be paid..............it was just such a drag. It put me right off. I didn't even enjoy the trip. I keep receiveing phone calls and emails asking me to do other jobs but I just don't think it's worth what they pay. I work full time so it was difficult to fit it in. All in all, not for me.

The Retail Eyes site has been out of action for the last few days. I have a couple of payments pending and they are now not listed on the site. I think they should have paid some of us to do a usability study as well, as it isn't as straight forward to see if there are any jobs available, I keep having to type in my postcode. I hope I get paid for my last 2 jobs, as I can't remember the exact amounts involved anymore...:o Being owed expenses is not the way to clear my debt:cool:

I know what you mean about all the effort for little money. I look at it as a free lunch with a mate or dinner with the fella, which I would have probably done anyway. Once you've done a few assignments they become fairly straightforward as well. Big bummer about having to pay national call fees, I NEVER call 0870:mad:

I'be been registered with grassroots for a month nearly and had nothing?? Done 2 with GAPBuster and 2 with Retail Eyes. Likewise, I see the food ones as a meal out with the boyfriend we otherwise wouldn't have done (can't afford £20 at the mo for a meal, but I don't mind paying it knowing I'm getting it back!!)

Just sent my forms off for TNS so hopefully I'll pick up some of their highly rated mystery shops soon

ill have to have a look at this tns one cos im hearing alot of good stuff about it.

no complaints though about grassroots-theyve been great for us so far.
maybe it just depends on your area???
i would have thought that youd get some work in greater manchester though with the trafford centre there. shame cos its doing ok for me. hope you get some work soon

Can anyone help me? I was offered and accepted my first assignment with Grass Roots, it's for tomorrow. The email hasn't come through yet, is this normal? They rang at 4pm today. As it's tomorrow, I hoped to get the details asap. Thanks a lot.

Can't access RE at all still, no grassroots assignments pending and I sent my starter forms back to TNS last week but haven't got my signup details or anything yet. I'm in MSLimbo :rotfl:
