Hi folks,
Quick question...I was meant to do a meal visit for RE last night but we had a powercut and I wasn't going to leave the babysitter with my two small children in the house on her own..do you think RE will mind?
I have filled in the page which you complete when you haven't been able to complete an assignment, but there is no drill down button for power cut!!!
Will they get funny with me?Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:0 -

call them and explain, and see if they will let you reschedule for another day

I've never had a job I didn't whinge about :rotfl:
But seriously, of course it's important that we carry out our assignments properly and according to the brief. However, our feedback on the questionnaires should be important, too - after all, it is us that know what it's like to do the job!
Making three different queries in a small chemist's is, to me, a bit excessive, and certainly makes us stand out. I think the company should be aware of this.
And I agree about repetitive questions. "Were you offered a bag, yes or no. Please explain fully." Erm, yes I was offered a bag. The explanation: the member of staff offered me a bag. Does that make sense?
Let alone the fact that the fees we get are not great. I spent an hour filling in my first RE chemist's questionnaire - that doesn't work out at a great hourly rate...
So yes, my point is, make the effort to do the job properly and you're allowed a whinge:beer:
Yes, some questionnaires are very long, and some of the questions may seem unnecessary, but this would be at the request of the client. You should always answer these questions as fully as possible to give the most accurate picture of what is happening. The fuller your reports, the more likely you will offered further work.
I agree that sometimes the questionnaires seem too long compared for the fee and that they don't give you a great hourly rate. Many people would not accept these jobs for just that reason. Not much point taking any jobs where you end up out of pocket. After all, the point of this site is to be saving money!!!0 -
Does anyone know which company does the Marks & Spencer mystery shops?0
-
I did some M&S mystery shops with TNS, but that was a few months ago now.0
-
M&S are no longer shopped by TNS. A new company has the contract but I was told that applications to shop this client are by invitation only.
I was given a link to apply & applied. The company then rang me & asked where I'd got the link from as it's invitation only.0 -

(Not being lazy honest - have read the first 15 pagesand then spent last hour and a half locked off site  )
Have been trying to sign up to BAI and they need my phone no. from abroad, and for my bank a/c : IBAN no. BIC no. and SWIFT no. Apparently i can get the last three from my bank?!
Hoping someone can help and thanks for all the info on this thread it is great :T :T :T Have applied to do TNS, Retail Eyes and Grassroots. Just dying to get onto BAI as theyhave some good jobs near me!
Thanks a lot
Rachel
I had never heard of these numbers either but surprisingly they (BIC and IBAN) were printed on the bottom of my bank statement - I hadn't even noticed. It clearly shows BIC: (then the number) and then IBAN: (then the number). I hope you find yours there too. You only need IBAN and then SWIFT or BIC.0 -
I know most of the places that TNS do and you are not really supposed to say who they do work for but i can tell you that i have never seen M&S in the time that i have belonged to them which must be about 8 months.0

I had a RE job booked for today - a pub lunch. When we got there the pub was closed for refurbishment. Do i still need to do the report or just ring RE in the morning?0
