Did you take the aerial lead out of the Freeview Box (out of the Antenna in socket) and try it into the telly ?4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0 -

I spent a while trying to tune a neighbours TV only to find I hadn't selected DTV but that had never been set up."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

No, but there are antennae that are too old and weak to receive digital signals.
I have often seen "weak/no signal" on digital tvs awaiting connection.
You say it was working a couple of days ago? Switchover has been ongoing for a while, are you asking it to tune the "digital" section of the TV?
Does it work in another aerial socket? I know you have had a box working in it's socket, but it is worth a go!
Sorry if these are silly questions, but before now I have had the director of a company call me up complaining there was no dial tone on his fax, I asked him if it was plugged into the line and a very embarrassed chap came back on the line and admitted it worked now it was plugged in!
It is possible that the digital tuner side of the tv has "gone".What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
How far have you moved house?
Have you re-tuned the TV?, the reason I ask is because - for example - the TV aerial on my house points to one transmitter and the TV aerial on the house next door points to another transmitter.
If I put my TV next door I would get the same error message until I retuned the TV.
Edit - Apologies, just read further up the thread that you have already tried retuning it.0 -
Have you verified that the socket you're plugging it into is actually connected to an aerial somewhere?0

One key thing when diagnosing a fault when something has changed is to check if the fault disappears when you undo the change - this will confirm that the change has had any adverse effects.
That leads me on to a potentially silly suggestion which needs the answers to the questions: how far are you from your old house and how well do you know the new occupants? It would be really useful if you could try the TV out in a "known working condition" to confirm that the TV still works and has not been damaged in the move.Never let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.0
