Are these affecting working age claimants only or child claimants too?

DLA is ending over a period of time for claimants aged 16-64 and PIP will take over.

PIP will have new criteria to the then previous DLA system. i assume it will remain payable to those that are working and claiming.

there should be any changes to child DLA other than calling it PIP.

Anybody that is 16 and under 65 as at April 2013 will have their DLA cancelled and have to apply for PIP.

Those under 16 on that date will eventually have to go onto PIP when they turn 16 and those that are 65 or older on that date will have to go on PIP after the bulk transfers have taken place as from 2016.

Have you a link to these facts? I believe this is yet more deliberate misinformation from you (as per often to cause unnecessary distress to benefit recipients). DLA will not be cancelled for all working age people in April 2013.

    Refer http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/personal-independence-payment-faqs.pdf

We will begin by taking a few thousand new claims to Personal Independence Payment from 8 April 2013 for people living in those areas. During this period new claimants in all other parts of the country will continue to claim Disability Living Allowance as now.

We will write to you to let you know when you can make a claim to Personal Independence Payment and how to do that. This stage will begin in October 2013 and all current DLA claimants of working age will have been contacted about reassessment by Spring 2016.

Rubbish. No one will have their claim cancelled, they will be transferred in the same way that those on IB have been transferred to ESA.

"DWP will write to remaining DLA claimants at some point before Spring 2016. The letter will let them know that their DLA is due to end and explain how they can make a claim to PIP. "

    Taken from this site http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/pip-quick-guide.pdf

DLA is awarded for a limited period of time. Towards the end of that period the claimant will be invited to apply for PIP.

its information like this that puts scare into alot of people that have heared roumors.

what you written here, completely contridicts what i have read on PIP so far.

if your NOT 100% sure on what is happening like the government in some aspect of PIP yet to be introduced, dont post anything about it unless you know its set in stone.

If what I have written is untrue or incomplete, then maybe instead of complaining about it you should produce your version of what you understand PIP to mean?

I stand by my comments that sometime between April 2013 and Spring 2016 for those 16 and over and under 65 as at April 2013, will see their DLA award cancelled. The choice will be to claim PIP as an aternative benefit.

After the 16 - 65 range have been processed then it is very likely that the rest (over 65's and under 16's will form the next batch.

To seriously think that PIP will not be put in place for everyone at some time or other is being very niave.

exactly my point a VERSION thats what it boils down to my VERSION is irrelevant, because is Will be inaccurate, just like yours, if you go to the DWP website on PIP its very contradictory.

    see here
    What the change means

Disability Living Allowance will end for everyone of working age even if they have an indefinite period award. By working age we mean everyone who is aged 16 to 64 on the day Personal Independence Payment is introduced

    then goes on to say
    When will PIP be introduced

    New claims

    • April 2013 – Personal Independence Payment will be introduced for new claims in Merseyside, North West England, Cumbria, Cheshire and North East England. During this period new claimants in all other parts of the country will continue to claim Disability Living Allowance as now.
    • June 2013 – new claims for Personal Independence Payment will be taken from all parts of the country.
    Existing claimants

There is no automatic transfer from Disability Living Allowance (DLA) to Personal Independence Payment. Between October 2013 and March 2016 we will write to claimants already getting DLA to invite them to make a claim for Personal Independence Payment. They will be individually assessed against the new entitlement criteria

so the first one says everyone who get DLA will not get DLA on the day its introduced.

then says those who have an existing claim will re assessed indevidualy wich suggests payments will continue, right through till a PIP assessment is complete and entitlement is decided.

so my point is that its not clear cut as you suggest it is. and versions can be thrown around, ammendments are still being made to PIP criteria.

migration wont happen, re-assessment will, wich means you will continue to get DLA untill a PIP decision is made after your assessments. this page confirms it https://www.gov.uk/personal-independence-payment

this page is contradicory as i quoted from.
    http://www.dwp.gov.uk/policy/disability/personal-independence-payment/

other can read these and make their own version from them.

but i will NOT go indepth into my verion of PIP because its irrelavent and non informative.

DLA has always stopped upon a new decision of no entitlement there no difference there only way to get it back is to WIN appeal. ESA and DLA has Always been different in that aspect. why you thought otherwise has put you in doubt as to your credability of you claims.

Andy.. your comment is there in black and white.. no ambiguity at all... you've subsequently changed what you're saying dramatically having been caught out. You can waffle all you like.. you're here to scare claimants with misinformation and unfortunately this is one domain where there are people prepared to point that out factually.
