I have an old house (1430) semi terraced with no insulation. Its basically stone. I have a storage heater, an electric cooker, Fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave (rarely used) one light stuck on (in the loo) computer modem 24/7. electric towel rail and immersion heater. I am only there 3 days a week and only turn on anything besides the light, modem and fridge, when I am there. I turn off plugs, don't leave anything on standby etc. Sometimes I have an electric convection heater on for 7 hours trying to dry washing.
Southern Electric say this equates to £51 per month. Does that seem high?
Thank you for any replies.

Storage heaters are designed for 7 day a week operation (at least during the winter when you need heating)
They won't provide very good heating if you only turn them on 3 days a week (for a start they won't heat up until the following night so day 1 will be without any heat)
You realise that convection heater on during the day is costing about 3-4 times the same heat from a storage heater would?
What is your annual electricity consumption in kWh? (and the day/night split)0
