Virgin set top box connected to media center pc HELP!!!

Hi please can anybody help me
I have a media center pc and have just had a virgin digital set top box installed which i would like to connect to my media center pc i have had no problems watching analogue tv on my pc the virgin installer told me to buy an ariel lead to go from my pc to the set top box and it should be fine i have bought a lead but media center cant find a signal can anyone help please???
Rang virgin several times passed from department to department no-one seems to know.
