Overdraft query, help!

Hi, I currently have a Halifax overdraft £1 a day for each day I am £1 over.... This can equate to pay day loan % ages!!

I'm looking to change to 1st direct, my question is would you think it would be hard to get a 1000£ overdraft, my credit file is good, 1600 net income

I know it's hard to comment on personal circumstances but gut feeling on 1k overdraft, achievable?

Many thanks

Yep payday loans are actually cheaper then Halifax overdrafts.

Yep payday loans [STRIKE]are[/STRIKE] can be actually cheaper then Halifax overdrafts.

Yes they can be, but surely if you know about their charging system (which a customer should) then there's no way you allow yourself to go £1 overdrawn. You'd be mad to.

In contrast, for someone who's £1000 overdrawn or whatever, the charge isn't as bad as made out.

I thought Halifax only charge you £1 a day when it was over £10 into your o/d.

As to FD. Why do you need such a large O/D ?

TBH. All you can do is apply and see what you get offered.

On a net income of £1600 it's not likely you'll get a £1000 overdraft. Why do you need £1000 ?

Well to be honest I was just hoping to match what I had from the Halifax. Also it would have been useful to access short term when I look to pay off a credit card debt
