Hi all
We have booked to go on 3 November and see the Fireworks.
Please would anyone going this weekend (or who has been in previous years) suggest a good place to stand to watch?
Are they all big fireworks in the air, or is there a ground display somewhere?
I am going with a three year old, so would also like to make a speedy exit if at all possible !!
Thanks in advance :A
Cheers

hi, i went last year and it was brilliant. best fireworks display ive been to.
it was scooby doo themed (dont know what it is this yr?) and they had big speakers set up so the story could be told at the end there was a massive fireworks display that went on at the same time as music.
we sat on the grass as its sloped at the miniture lego bit, (really sorry i cant remember what its called, where they have big ben ect made out of lego) we got there quite early, about an hr before it started because we were knackered and just wanted a rest, but it soon got busy.
we had a great view from there, so i would suggest there, unless anyone can suggest anywhere better? also, get there early and if you want to sit down, take a blanket or something to sit on, it was dry but a bit muddy when we went.
HTH?**Waiting for a BIG win!**
Thank you all posters!

We usually watch from Miniland on the slopes, and then stay on to go on the rides in the dark. If you want a quick getaway, as the queues to get out are massive, then I suggest watching from The Beginning, its possible to get a good view from there, although you'll be standing, and standing in place too for a bit, if you want to be at the front.
ETA: Been previous years, not been this year yet0 -
Thanks so much to you both for your replies.
The weather looks good so hopefully it will be great.
Cheers

We went last weekend and they had to let the fireworks off from their secondary site, which meant they were slightly lower in the sky. If you are watching in Miniland, I would suggest standing near the back, that way if they have to do that again, you will be able to see fine. We stood near towerbridge and had a great view.
They are great as usual this year, although the story is not so good as previous years. I'd highly recommend the 3d glasses too, they are £1.59 each, which I was loathe to pay, but my sister bought them for us and they are great, they turn the fireworks in to Lego bricks! We are going back Friday, so will take them back with us, but will also use them at our local display, and probably save them for next year too.0 -
We went last weekend and stood near the duplo theatre (think thats called the beginning).
Not many people were waiting there but the view of the fireworks was really good. I could not hear properly what they were saying thought so I dont know if you hear the story/music better at miniland.
We were in a great position to get to the rides after it finished and managed to get onto atlantis submarine with nearly no queue. its my kids favourite ride so that was great. Apparantly the queue was mental after.0 -
I've been there quite a few times for fireworks, they are always absolutely amazing there!
It's some time since I've been there, but it was a big display up in the air with loud music coming out from speakers. I stood on a grassy bank somewhere one time, but couldn't tell you where, sorry!
I hope you had a great timeSPC '21 #0750
